The concept of Lucky Meal is simple. One tap, get a random restaurant and meal deal in your area. This simple concept on the user's side is a total game changer for restaruant owners: Lucky Meal users don't look at fake reviews on Google, Tripadvisor or Yelp, they get the random result and try out the restaurant, they are even more inclined if the deal presented is good. This gives every restaurant owner an equal chance of being discovered, no need for ad spend or a restaurant location in a highly frequented area.
Lucky Meal's brand and product is heavily gamified to appeal to younger audiences. It's a flashy product full of playful animations and interactions. Something that stands out and stays on top of people's minds.

Going with a pixelart aesthetic was a no-brainer. We also needed to have a "face" of the product, we chose to go with a cute red panda chef. The random aspect of Lucky Meal is depicted via a gacha machine, a popular type of vending machine popular in Japan. In real life, Gacha machines spit out plastic balls that contain random items, in our case it's Lucky Meal restaurants and deals.

The goal of Lucky Meal is that people click the button view the animation, see "what the gacha machine gives them" and then feel forced to try out the restaurant. It's like a challenge. They share this entire expereince on social media and other people follow suit. We are working closely with local food influencers to bring the experience to the masses.
